Should I Become a Bookkeeper?
I’ve been contemplating a career change for a number of years now, and ever since I came across this bookkeeping certification information, I’ve been chomping at the bit to actually change my life.
I’ve been pretty depressed lately with my job. It doesn’t pay very well, my boss doesn’t seem to like me much, and it’s a very high pressure environment. Since it’s a sales job, I’m commissioned, so if I don’t sell a lot in a given month, I don’t have enough money to pay my basic needs. I’ve been going deeper and deeper into debt and don’t really know what to do about it.
I’ve started thinking that if I take an accounting course or two at the local community college, I might be able to land a bookkeeping job and then start the whole certification process to become a Certified Bookkeeper. The only hard part is coming up with the money for the initial classes I’d have to take. I sure hope to figure this out soon.
