She Crab Soup Is The Perfect Way To Warm Up In Winter

My favorite food is she-crab soup. It is made from female crabs when they are pregnant. Something about pregnancy changes their flavor, giving this soup a very unique taste. It is even better when you put a little bit of sherry in it. It just sweetens it a little. I always order this dish when I go out to eat in the winter. I’m even hoping to find a caterer in Leicester who will make this dish at my wedding later this year.

I’ve tried to make it at home before but it has never really turned the same as when it’s made by a restaurant. The thicker it is, the better it tastes but when I make it, it just comes out all watery, not very nice. If you haven’t tried this soup before, give it a go next time you’re in a restaurant that serves it. It is most common to find on the east coast of the US but I’m sure there are some places on the west coast that serve it also.
